Meeting for the IUCN Member community in Europe, North and Central Asia, Yerevan, Armenia 16 - 18 October 2023
ICENCA has been invited by long-standing IUCN Member, the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) in Armenia, to participate in their annual SunChild International Environmental Festival taking place 13-18 October 2023 and to celebrate FPWC’s 20th anniversary at that time. The ICENCA Steering Committee has accepted this kind invitation and intends to use this opportunity to bring IUCN Members from Europe, North and Central Asia together for informal meetings and training activities within the festival from 16-18 to further the cause of nature conservation.
These intentions currently include:
- Opportunities for Members to prepare for the IUCN Regional Conservation Forum in 2024, including discussion workshops and training sessions.
- Interregional meetings for Commission members and National Committees and Country Focal Points
- A Members reception for enhanced networking
- Shared experiences between colleagues and projects
- Field excursion opportunities
If you are interested in taking part in this event, we would like to receive your expression of interest. We are also interested at this stage in hearing from Members who may wish to lead on organising workshops or meetings.
We encourage Members to also fill out a short survey which will give Members an opportunity to help shape the programme. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
