Help us shape IUCN's Youth Strategy: Questions for IUCN Member Organisation Young Professionals (YPs)
As many of you know, over the past two years we have been working to strengthen youth engagement and mainstreaming of youth across IUCN Congress activities. This included organising IUCN's first ever fully-virtual Global Youth Summit in April 2021, organising a hybrid Youth Summit at the IUCN Congress in Marseille in September 2021, ensuring youth were well represented across Forum high-level sessions etc.

In parallel, we commissioned an external review of IUCN's Youth Engagement efforts. This review was conducted by Intergens, an external consultant group. You can read the review here: https://bit.ly/3k0RCAh (Annex to the Review: https://bit.ly/3w5ceMw).

IUCN's response to the review, issued by IUCN's Director General following consultation with all six IUCN Commission Chairs, can be viewed here: https://bit.ly/3mzzcs2

As an immediate next step, we have been tasked with finalising a new IUCN Youth Strategy; one that builds on the Review and the outcomes documents resulting from the IUCN Global Youth Summit 2021. The Strategy will also integrate and build on the work of all previous IUCN interventions on youth and the relevant Resolutions of our Members.

As we work to put together this Strategy by and for IUCN Young Professionals, we are keen to hear your perspectives and insights on what to prioritise in the IUCN Youth Strategy for 2022 and beyond.
